Exploring Stereotypes – Part 2

Here we are again! Let’s continue our prior discussion about the rampant stereotypes men and women have about each other. (If you missed the first part, you can read that here.)
This time we are exploring what women think of men of various races. I’m not promising to keep anything PC, because that’s not how I roll.
Asian men have two major things working against them: the small penis and the strong pull of culture. The only hole they can fill is their Asian counterpart and they take their “I’m the man” role way too seriously.
Look, I know plenty of Asians from many different cultures. Their ideals vary so widely that I’m amazed people have the audacity to lump them all together! Yes, there is scientific proof about the penis thing on average, but it is not everything. There’s some guys that have the super schlong and don’t have the first clue on how to use it. While it is true that the patriarchal way is still pervasive, surely there is room for more progressive individuals to help normalize that fact.
Black men have problems galore. Between jail & their baby mamas, their monstrous dicks have done nothing but get them in trouble. Hell, they’re lucky if they get a high school education so forget any dreams of living the rich life. Unless they become a ball player or rapper. Oh, and don’t forget: they will kill you if you step on their sneakers. All the ladies still want them anyway. Go figure.
O_o Really? Okay, let’s lay down some truth on this one first. True: a majority of men in jail for violent crime are black. True: on average, black men do not complete higher education. However, the rest is pure stereotype. Black men seem to be villified moreso than any other race, and much of it has historical roots (I’m not going to go into that one because we’ll be here all day.) Here’s the real deal: educated, gainfully employed black men that are not in jail ARE hard to find, but they do exist. Particularly with this group, I’m tired of the utilization of race as an excuse for one’s actions. As for the baby mama drama, it’s pervasive across races… it just doesn’t get as much press as black men do because of popular culture (i.e., rap music). Get off it already.
Hispanic men are full of machismo, but they’re hard workers and support their families. They’re the least affectionate of their male counterparts, but somehow you know they care (they keep coming home after all). Of all the races, they have the most virulent sperm, so if you want to get pregnant, look no further! Just keep in mind, they are loyal to a point; they’ll marry you, keep a PYT on the side.
Since I’ve got some Dominican blood in me, I have to say. Yeah, every word I said above is totally true. TOTALLY true. Um, should I say more? Okay, okay, you’ve twisted my arm. Look, Hispanic men have similar problems that black men face except they constantly keep them in the lower to middle class. The common stigma is that they can only get low wage jobs, but that’s not entirely true. Many are doing what they have to to support their family and if that means taking a crap job, so be it. It speaks to their ethic more than anything else. They do tend to have a lot of kids and in fact, Hispanics have been bolstering the USA population over the last 10 years according to the last census… and that’s only including those people that voluntarily reported their presence. Heaven only knows how many more are out there undocumented and unreported. The fact is, Hispanic men have a ton of culture on their side, a very defined way by which they operate and assume their roles in the Hispanic community.
So look, there’s nothing quite like a stereotype, but each individual is different. Let’s stop running around applying these falsehoods against each and every individual, and take them for who and what they are. Simply put: let that person show you what they’re made of FIRST.
